Individual or groups lessons are available at Lakelands Golf Club with Certified PGA of Australia Professionals Rowan Beste, Craig Chandler, Michael Sim, and ALPG Professionals Anne Wilson-Lawrence & Jenny Jones (formely Sevil).

 

About Rowan:

In 2004 I started my Professional Playing career with the PGA Tour of Australasia and held a full Tour Card on the Asian Tour in 2006 & 2007. After having spent 10 years living out of a suitacse playing throughout Australia and Asia I decided to become a fully qualified PGA of Australia member. Since becoming fully qualified I have been the Golf Operations Manager and more recently become the General Manager at Lakelands Golf Club, enjoying spending more time at home on the Gold Coast.

Although playing was my passion since a very young age, I have now transitioned into a managerial role and enjoy helping others with their golf game, focusing on each individual's needs and ability levels, while tailoring lessons to fit each client.

Available for lessons Sunday mornings if booked in advance and occasionally during the week.

About Craig:

Originally from Muree in NSW, Craig has held numerous coaching roles in his 26 years as a PGA of Australia Professional.Craig has also coached on the JLPGA Tour as well as held his JPGA Tour Card for 2 years. his simple and easy to understand approach to coaching is made even easier with the inclusion of KVest. Using this wireless 3D technology, helps beginners to tour players monitor swing improvements to within 1 degree. Craig is also a Certified TPI 1 & 2 Golf Fitness Instructor.

'Over the past 26 years of my career I have seen players with faultless swings, superb physical attributes and excellent mind control. But rarely do you see a player with all three combined, and this is why almost every week, you see a different winner. It is my goal to achieve this skill set for the players that I work with'.

About Michael:

Lakelands golf club is pleased to announce that honorary member Michael Sim is now available to give lessons to our Members and guests. Michael has played golf at the highest level competing on the USPGA tour for several years reaching the top 50 in the official world golf rankings. He has played in 5 major championships with a best result of tied 18th. Michael has won 7 Professional tournaments around the world and currently holds both the Western Australian Open and Queensland PGA titles.

Michael is available for on course lessons over 9 holes or private lessons on the driving range. Michael has a really good understanding of the game and is looking to help any level golfer reach their personal goals.

About Anne: 

Ann Wilson has been playing golf since 1974 representing QLD and Australia and winning many amateur championships. In 1986 Ann turned Professional & played on the European tour for 2 seasons. From 1988 to 1998 Ann was based in Tokyo, and played on the Japanese Tour winning the Akita TV Cup in 1995. Ann was awarded the Australian Sports medal in 2000. Since being accredited as a teaching professional in 1994 Ann has taught for Jack Nicklaus Golf Schools, Greg Norman Golf Foundation, Women's Golf QLD and many more before Lakelands Golf Club were proud to have Ann join as part of their team in 1998.
